Orchard wildflowers

It is good to see that the wildflowers in the orchard are doing so well. The daffodils looked lovely in the spring sunshine followed a few weeks later by cowslips.

An orchard for a village

I am very much in favour of community orchards: they help link people to the land and where food comes from, and when the orchard is fully mature in fifty to a hundred years it could be of great biodiversity value if managed appropriately. Dr Stephen Head
