What a great Apple Day

Did you see Paul's giant display?  It stretched over 4 metres and had 91 varieties of apples and pears.  Some weren't named; Paul is still finding new apples in people's gardens.

The chocolate coated apples went down well with the kids. There were plenty of chocolate coated faces. The ones with wet faces had been bobbing for apples. Lots of people brought their own apples to be pressed which the kids enjoyed helping with.

We reckon that over 200 people came along; the sunshine helped. The pub was really busy and Sunday lunches were booked out. For those who missed it on the day you can buy this season's apple juice at the Brightwell Village Stores.

We raised about £900 including donations of about £300 for the tastings which was incredibly generous. Thank you everyone - it was a great day.
