It was the Spring Fair last weekend in the magnificent Brightwell Manor orchard. It was a rare day; blue skies, sunshine and hot. A perfect day for melting ice creams and cold apple juice.
People were able to taste our 2013 season and we sold over 30 bottles. Including the takings from the really popular vintage quilt auction we raised a handsome £76.43 for the church. The Brightwell Village Orchard Group are really pleased to have made a contribution.
There will be an Orchard Group stall at the Village Fete on Saturday 5th July where we will display the plans for the Community Orchard and hope to raise donations for apple trees. Oh, and of course, we will be tasting and selling the last of the season's apple juice.
