First crop for Apple Day
Miller's Seedling, Worcester Pearmain, Discovery and Grenadier are four of the early varieties of apple that we will be picking this weekend to make juice for Apple Day. Discovery is a very distinctive apple with a bright red skin and pale pink flesh which produces juice as pink as rose wine and very sweet. Blending the sweet dessert apples with cooking apples such as Grenadier and Bramley will help to balance the flavours. Come along to Apple Day on 13 October and sample and buy some of the different blends.
